The Agricultural Productivity Programme for Southern Africa (APPSA) is a six-year research initiative funded by the World Bank with the intention to promote agricultural productivity through generation and dissemination of improved agricultural technologies. Under this collaborative programme, Lesotho is focusing on horticulture and horticulture-based farming systems while it’s counterpart Angola is focusing on cassava and cassava-based farming systems.
As part of showcasing and disseminating research work conducted by the scientists under APPSA, field days were held in regional research stations in Leribe and Mokhotlong districts on the 29th February and 1st March 2024, respectively.
